water well grounding or bonding

i have kinda of instering question about water well with steel casting go in ground will this treat like a ground rod ?? [ i know most place requred at least 2 ground rod for grounding puropse] and have to sized by per nec with main breaker rating ??

i got part of answer there but not explain clear

250.52(A)(1) allows a metal well casing to be used as a grounding electrode if it meets the criteria of that paragraph.

No need for ground rods when you use the well as an electrode.
