Was it ever a code requirement to have outdoor receptacles marked with "WR"? If so, when did it change? I can only see the listing of the receptacle must have it labeled "WR", and not an NEC requirement.

Interesting that 406.9(A) Damp Locations says the receptacles shall be a listed weather-resistant type. 406.9(B)(1) Wet Locations says receptacles shall be listed and so identified as the weather-resistant type. In my opinion, that says two different things between damp and wet locations.
