I don' think I want to be there when the no-hub bands deteriorate and a few itty bitty drips show themselves....I can hear the Mrs.--"nasty day at work Honey?" Violation City.

so when your switchgear ends up full of sewage....who do you call for that?

I would just board up the electrical room, pretend it was never there, and build another one somewhere else.

I see this same thing all of the time. Until plumbers, fitters, tin knockers and general contractors are versed in the requirements of Article 110 this will continue to happen everyday. Where's the code enforcement?

I say this with some reluctance, but I would fairly safely assume that somebody made a drawing indirectly instructing the pipe-fitter/plumber/??? to put this drain there? More over, at least 1 someone else with more "credentials" more than likely approved said drawings. Right? So yea the plumber is wrong, but I'm guessing someone else is "wronger".

Besides a MCC or MSB or what ever it is, full of stink water is a guaranteed service call.

It's me, and yes at this moment they are relocating the no hub 90 from the wye out of the dedicated electrical space. Also, yes the coordination drawings show this per picture....sad but true stamped drawings. I have ken (480 Sparky) post my pictures. Excuses #1....due to my system does not work at times #2 I am computer stupid Yes! "that is a given" and #3 Hope that some one on this forum is not the installer on the job here in the District. However, if the shoe fits....send me a PM. IMO the EC should have recognized this issue and contacted someone prior to bolting it on the floor and hope the inspector did not catch it. One of these days 110.26(F) will be in the other trades code books.....Thoughts?

Man, that was listening to Oliver North confessing...too easy!--just razzin you! I would still be concerned about the sleeve area...a leak up there and Bam...good night Ilene. There's no easy solution to everything. Nice pics and thanks for sharing them.;)

It is between parking garage levels......no code there for a hole in the deck. Thanks for the Ollie analogy.:D At least I admitted to being puter dumb I reckon.

What room is directly above? Would the hole in the floor have the potential for changing the location from dry to damp? What is the rating of the gear, Nema1?
