Welding receptacles

Our fabricator wants another welding receptacle on the other side of the shop for each of his two welders.

Can we extend from the existing receptacle and add another receptacle on each of these two circuits?

Electrician says that we need to install new breakers and run new circuits but the panel cant handle two more three-poles. Using the demand factors in 630, you go by the number of welders not the number of receptacles.

WE only have one of each type of welder so the circuit will never be overloaded. I look through the code and I can't find a place that prohibits it.

Thanks for your help.

if the conductors are sized properly it's no different than having (3) receptacles in your kitchen on one 20 amp breaker. You have them so you can plug your toaster in at any of the locations. Same for your welder.
