I opened up a panel and found a mouse in it...

Me: "What are you doing in here?"
mouse: "This IS a Westinghouse Panel isn't it?"
Me: "well, yes it is."
Mouse: "So leave me alone, I was westing!"

Re: Westinghouse Panel

I groaned at that 30 years ago, when I first heard it (except that the story involved a Westinghouse fridge).

Re: Westinghouse Panel

Yes, Cutler Hammer breakers and UL Classified breakers listed for use with Westinghouse panels are the only suitable replacements. Just because it fits doesn't mean you can use it. :D :D

Re: Westinghouse Panel

A GE breaker failed at our refinery. GE Service claimed a mouse initiated the arc that destroyed the gear.

Two weeks later, electricians tripped a Westinghouse Medium Voltage breaker and found a newly dead mouse entangled in the breaker's spring mechanism. They sent GE Service color pictures featuring the breaker's Circle W logo and smashed mouse captioned, "Your competitors catch the mouse."
