I'm writing some spec sections for low voltage communications cables (audio-visual and data network), and I'm curious what CSI spec section number do J-hooks and bridle rings fall into? My first thought was section 26 05 29 (Hangers and Supports for Communications Systems). Or are they considered to be part of section 26 05 36 (Cable Trays for Communications Systems)?

Anyone have a spec section they would be willing to post that covers these products?

Thanks.

Mike

I had to look up CSI specs...normally I'd use TDMM/BICSI specs; I dont have my old TDMMs here to check out what chapter cable support falls under. Mfg specs are good too... check out Panduit, Hilti and Caddy products for starters.

MasterFormat is a bit of a rip-off. They don't actually write any specs, they just provide the outline. And they have the brass to charge for that "service". You have to either write the spec yourself or go with someone like MasterSpec who has a stable of pre-written specs you can customize. However, they don't have all the specs covered, and now you may have to go to a vendor to see if you can hammer the one they have into a shape you can use.
