Does anyone else remember the post from an EC about his job trailer under power lines that were causing problems in the computer monitors?
He had a nice job-site web-cam set up as the hospital was being built. I can't find the post or the link to the web-cam. Anyone know where it is?

Re: What ever happened?

Hi Dave, Interesting problem. We had a similar probem at NFPA in Quincy, MA. We had a word processing room moved to a new location on the first floor and the operators were complaining about the distortion and wave forms on the montitors. Being in the elect. dept. we got the question, What's the problem? We took a portable radio with us set it on AM mode and an unused radio frequency. We got lots of interference noise. That indicated electro-magnetic interference. Guess what, the electrical vault was directly below it with a voltage of 13,800 go 480/277. We had two choices move the monitors or buy metal sheilds that would encompass each monitor.

I've always used a gauss meter to check for EMFs.
