I've been researching some coordination issues and notice many of you referencing CMP10, or CMP15, and subsequent meeting(s) that occurred this past January. Forgive my ignorance but can you please clarify what you're talking about when you say CMP? THanks!

CMP = Code Making Panel

CMP = Code Making Panel

. . .can you please clarify what you're talking about when you say CMP?
Code Making Panel. Each is a group of unpaid people who are charged with processing all the proposed changes, removals and additions of specific bits of language to the next edition of the National Electrical Code. Each CMP is in charge of only a part of the corpus of the NEC.

Code making panel. They are the ones that accept or reject revisions to different codes. Each panel is responsible for a different code or portion of a code.

"CMP" means Code Making Panel. The membership of each CMP and the Articles it covers is listed just after the NEC Table of Contents.
