What is equivalent to a 12 AWG solid copper conductor?

Seems odd to me seeing as the specify solid copper and the terminals do not look like they would take stranded very well.

The wording could be a real pain for inspectors.
Or the electrician whose work the inspector is inspecting.

The terminals on the item will not accept stranded as far as I can tell.

There is no way to wrap the conductors around the screw, the conductor just sits under one side of the screw while a small lip holds it from popping out the side.

One terminal the stranded would be pulled into the screw but the other terminal would push the stranded out.

What if you used a little crimped terminal fork on the stranded?

I've installed those tracks too, by the way, and they SUCK! The little end start boxes allow for about like one inch of wire, and all the connections are so close together it makes me nervous. And I always get my grimey fingerprints all over everything!

Gee, I wish I'd said that.

May I suggest learning to use Kleins and needlenoses as bending tools? If you bend the wires just right, they stay in place without tension, and it makes tightening the screws easier.

Also, it helps keep the materials cleaner. Don't hesitate to wash your hands as often as you need to, too. I tell my guys it's faster than cleaning devices and plates, and walls and ceilings.

After skatey eight years of experience I am still amazed at when I have to tell a journeyman\journeywoman\apprentice\helper the simple concept not to make paw prints on the walls. It kills me. Dont leave tracks!! Now how primal is that??

I'm an expert in using Kleins for other than their intended purpose. But it still doesn't make wiring things in tiny spaces easy. I'm not a gynecologist :D

I wash my hands like I have OCD (no offense toward anyone afflicted with this ailment) but my hands seem to love attracting grease and grime!
