that is not what the post referred to though. he said something about an A/C disconnect being fused. Unless there are additional OCPD downstream in such a circuit, the fuses in the fused disconnect are the final OCPD. he did not say anything about there being any additional OCPD downstream.The definitions do not result in mutual exclusivity. You can have the following arrangement:
OCPD 1 - Conductors A - Outlet 1 --- OCPD 2 --- Outlet 2.
Then Conductors A are a feeder with respect to OCPD 2 / Outlet 2 and a branch circuit with respect to Outlet 1.
