Good morning,
While spending some QT with my 7 year old son this weekend trout fishing in Northern Michigan, I saw something I just had to share. We had been fishing for several hours when we came to an opening along the rifle river, fresh cut grass, stack of fire wood and two living quarters (older trailers) I happened to notice they had power because of the pole and turkey cooker hanging. Because I know the area well I assumed the once privately owned property had been repurchased and someone was cleaning it up. this is where it got scary, from the pole transformer it has normal wires going to the first trailers meter socket next to the trailer. Then I notice a rather large black SO cord coming off the trans going to the second trailer. Carelessly ran down the pole and around on the ground like a big snake. Curious now, I get out of the stream and observe two vise grip pliers with ground lugs bolted to them, clamped on the post of the pole mount trans. The best part of this whole thing was my son (7 yrs. old) says "that's not right dad." I only been in the trade for a short time and have heard stories of this but this was my first, what the &^#%@ is that situation. I was wishing I hadn't left my tether (cell phone) in the truck because I really want to get you guy pics. We are heading back up next week for the same fishing trip I'll be sure and take a camera.
