Customer came in today with two projects. His kitchen floresent light would come on once in a while. He didn't know when the lamps had ever been changed, if ever. :thumbsup: We can do it.
Then he needed some help soldering wires to a a pair of switches he made. As he explained it he wants to start a DC motor from a battery source, The motor drives a flywheel attached to a generator. Once up to speed he will switch off the battery and then switch the output of the generator to the DC motor, which will then power the motor that drives the gen which...
He says he has been working on this for sometime and wants to see if it will work. I think kind of a "bucket list" Easily in to his 80s. I tried to explain why not, but you can see he is set on it. I haven't seen his project but I just don't see how I could even begin to make it halfway safe with home made independent switches.
