What type of cable

Ok I will try again. Cable types.......I want to run low voltage cable above a drop ceiling needs to be plenum rated and I would like to drop out of the ceiling to low voltage devices. What types of cables are out there? Class 1. Shielded 3 conductor "exposed"

Sorry I'm a night shifter. I understand take some time to wake up. Brief explanation the cabling will be used for RTD signaling and control of 24vdc solenoids. Due to the ease of installation I would like to be able to run shielded cable to these open above drop ceiling and then stub them down with EMT and tee them out to the devices, but once leaving the tee they will be exposed or in free air so to speak. Besides for needing to be plenum rated what are other specs I need to specify? Guess it wasn't short

Assuming the source is power limited, NEC should call for CL2P, although CMP may be an allowed substitution (I've been retired for a number of years). Look at Article 725 and what it references.

You first need to determine the power source, whether it's Class 2, 3 or Class 1. That will determine what wiring method you can use. If it says Class 2 you can use CL2P, CL3P, CMP Etc. Class 3 use CL3P wiring. If it says nothing you have to use a Class 1 wiring method, same as for power and light- conduit, greenfield whips, type MC, AC etc.
