my wife and i were walking into dinner last night, and it was starting to
rain, and there was this guy sitting outside, on a bench, eating someones
leftovers.

not a tweeker, not a drunk, just someone without options, making the best
hand from the cards he was dealt. eating other peoples leftovers. not
panhandling, not stealing, just enduring.

we got our table, and i went back out and handed him some money,
enough for a meal and a room. he may spend it how he chooses. not
my business.

my christmas gift? i had the money to give, and i wasn't sitting on the
bench eating someone else's charity.

i've done both.

you cannot truly appreciate anything until you have experienced the
opposite, and know the difference. i have done that, and i am grateful
for the experience.

if it can be burned or stolen, it really doesn't matter half a s***.

merry christmas, everyone.

That is what it's all about. Nice to hear.

Cheers.

Hey Peter, have you tried online dating at all? I met a nice girl a couple of years ago on myspace and a friend uses plentyoffish. If I were still single I'd be all over those sites, you can usually tell right away from their profile if she's your type. Good Luck

Peter, you sound like a pretty intelligent fella. You're single for a reason. Would do you need,...some horror stories? I suspect you've heard plenty of those.

As previously stated, be careful for what you wish for:D

After reading about it here and causally mentioning it to my wife a Craftsman Hammerhead Auto-Hammer Model 11818 appeared under my tree. I haven't opened it yet as I am thinking about returning it. Anybody have one of these and do you find it useful? I don't need another tool laying around collecting dust.

As a side note: It's made in China. I always thought Craftman tools were made in the USA.

I got a house  I get the keys the 16th of jan.. possibly sooner.

Not a joke either.

That is very cool. I can still remember moving into our home. I hope you get settled in smoothly.

I believe it is only their hand tools that are born in the USA. Anything with moving parts or gadget related may or may not and do not always have the same guarentee.

My brother gave me a set of damaged nut removal tools. Kind of like an easy out for nuts. He said now that I have them I probably wont need them which will make it the best gift ever.
