If you had a 1969 Impala SS maybe so. but if you had a 2003 Chevy Impala I'll just go down the road and find another at my price point. So the question is, is a masters license a '69 or a 2003 impala IMO its the 2003 and not worth what others here think it is. Don't get me wrong I have my masters it is how I own my business in Indy, but it's easy to come by.

It may be easy to come by where your at, but in most cases, it requires thousands of hours of school, and four to five years working under a mentor, and usually an additional 5 years of experience to apply for the test. There are some states then you can call yourself a master with a few hundred bucks and a good line of BS, if that is the case then there is no value in the license, however if the license is earned thru hard work and years of study then it has true value.

It's not gold around here, but it value. I haven't heard of anyone getting rich loaning a license, and I would expect to get laughed out of the office for asking for 25k or 100k. That's just nuts, IMO, at least for my area.

We have plenty of Licensed guys that are license and business permit holders for companies earning on average $150 to 300K, not gold but not bad money.

maybe you can enter into a partnership with the company ask what the compensation is for the owner or other partners figure out what percentage of the business you will be running and go from there . It seem s like they want to expand and grow this sounds like a great opportunity

In our area (Arizona), anyone with a pair of Home Depot wire strippers is as much an electrician as anyone else that has been in the trade for years. The only person in the company that needs any type of license is the owner or qualified party. I would think in your state where a Master's license really stands for something it would be worth it to sit at the table and see what your options are...don't be bullied into accepting something less than you feel its worth.
