Not to defend diy's but on the other hand there some diy people that are capable doing SOMEprojects or repairs themsevles their not all idiots.
Like people who like to work on cars that aren't certified as a qualified tech but do it because they enjoy it and do it right also and maybe even better than the qualified tech at times.
Because working on cars is dangerous also. But people don't complain about it except for the techs not getting the work.
