Job for grandaughters family. Have a large 2 car garage they want to convert into a play room, with bounce house, etc, It has a concrete floor and will have the green outdoor carpeting installed. I will change all the receptacles to TR, should I add GFCI protection? (2 circuits)? Will be used for foster children.
There are no sinks or bathrooms.
Going to GFCI triggers permit.

Of course,
You converted the garage into an accessory building...the same GFCI rule applies to both.
Of course, thanks Don. this is a job for my granddaughters family. I get this question "can you install new lights"....Scary wiring done by someone? 14 gage wire on 30A OCPD, no EGC in LT NM Flex...50A plug on 30 amp circuit. Permit in hand!

Last time I read all the related RCW revisions, changing more than 4 outlets for any reason triggers permit.
Yep. And in a dwelling unit that triggers most of the time, an AFCI outlet. I have a couple of permits to pull before the 2020 NEC is adopted in WA, end of October

Is this part of the dwelling or an accessory building? I don't believe AFCI is required in the accessory buildings (yet).
