Suppose there are no codes adopted in the work location........Now what
do you do?.........Amazingly, there ARE U.S. states without a statewide
building code adopted for its jurisdictions!.......Some locations have
absolutely no codes adopted or inspections performed. :jawdrop:

Very true. So is the reality of what negilgence you may be accused of if your installation ends up injuring or killing someone. Following a nationally recognized standard such as the NEC even if there is no AHJ enforcing it is still going to help you out in such a situation.
