This is as good a time as any to mention it.

It seems there is an unwritten rule that new forum members dig up threads that are weeks, or sometimes even years, old and post new comments.

I've noticed it a lot in the past few weeks.

It's a standard forum learning curve. Usually when you first stumble upon an internet forum, you're searching for and reading topics that interest you and you haven't learned to pay attention to things like the post dates. Usually only takes a few times before you catch on.

Well, it's either that or they took the time to read George's FAQ and saw the following sentence in the Etiquette section: "Before creating a new topic thread, one is advised to search to see if a similar topic already exists." :)
