I realize the requirement of grounding switches using the green ground terminal on all metal yoke switches came about many years ago, but I am trying to document the actual years at which the following occurred:
1) When either the NEC or NEMA decided it was time to add the ground tab?
2) What code year did the NEC actually document "grounding of switches"?
3) What code year did enforcement begin?
I believe it occurred sometime between 1990 and 1996 (Code year '90,'93,'96)
If anybody has some knowledge of this and can help out it would sure be appreciated... mine eyes are tired of looking!
Thanks again
