I view it this way,they already know how to make them or they would not be in the code book.They need to unload there stock then will stop making the old ones.This is too easy to see thru them.Whats sad is the number of people that thaught they got something new.Will they swap out them old ones free ? Don't hold your breath waiting.

I could only assume that one day when ARC faults are proven and nuisance tripping is minimized and the concept is mastered we will see AFCI breaker main panels, eliminating the need for AFCI breakers. Am I reading too much in to this?

I don't believe that I would want an arcing fault in a branch circuit shuting down all power to my house.
