conduit, Schedule 80 PVC conduit, or equivalent.

Can I approve an equivalent?

The title says Enclosure or Raceway. Raceways must be listed. Everything in that section is an identified raceway so the equivalent would need to be identified also. It cannot be plumbers pipe.

I believe white is an equivalent for protection in this case so that means I can approve it.

Really? I thought PVC conduit was more durable than ABS pipe.

Yes, IMO you can approve an equivalent if it's actually a raceway.

I believe the PVC pipe, and PVC conduit are somewhat the same, but PVC Pipe does not have the same flame retardant protection as PVC pipe, and PVC conduit obviously does not require the same durability under pressure test. It would seem these conduits should be used as manufactured?as they have a purpose based on the installation.
