The list of GE breakers allowable on the label do not list the letters on a twin or tandem GE breaker, so I assume the answer is no. But some of you can tell just by the model number....? (It is a 40 space 200 amp panel.) Thanks.

It's a 40-space/40-circuit panel, which says no. I don't know if GE makes non-CTL tandems.

GE doesn't make any tandem's. They make 1/2" wide THQP that require special buss connections.

Many years ago (50+) GE did make twin (tamdem) breaker. I think they stopped and converted to the tHQP around the time CTL came into existance.

GE doesn't make tandems at all.
They use slim breakers.

I don't know for sure, but that model number looks like it might be 20 full size spaces, and can accept up to 40 slim breakers

I agree it's a total of (40)-1" circuit breakers and no 1/2" CB's. Eaton makes 40/80 panels that accept all non-CTL twins.

the 20 means 200 amps. If it took wafer breakers it would be 2040 20cu or something like that. 20 mb would be main breaker and usually 20 ml is main lug. They may have changed their designations since I used them last

GE THQ line is pretty easy to tell where you can put the "thin breakers".

If the bus connection looks like either of the top two in this one, it will not accept thin breakers, if it looks like the bottom five positions it will accept them. Or maybe better said would be those top two positions will likely let you place a slim breaker there, but because of the bus to breaker connection design of the thin breakers it will not connect to the bus rendering it useless in those positions.

Those are Gould ITE twins, still have them somewhere, somebody went through a lot of work to do it wrong.

Most other 1 inch wide body breakers will have a slot in them and will fit in GE panels in spots designed to accept the thin breakers. They may not be listed for use there but is kind of clear they were designed to fit there.
Apparently this particular one didn't have said slots though.
