Windmills

Just wondering where in the code book I could find windmills or wind generators? All that I find is solar in the 690's. Also, does anyone have and experience with windmills? I'm going to assume the pole would be just like a parking lot light pole, and the rest would be handled similar to any other kind of generator. I realize there are a million systems available but this setup is grid tie only with the inverter built in. Seems pretty simple. Thanks.

There is nothing specific to windmills.

It would be treated like any other generator / separately derived system

Article 705 has rules that will apply if the wind system will operate in parallel with the utility.

The issue of the pole is a mechanical one, not electrical. It has everything to do with the lateral forces the wing turbine will exert in a maximum wind condition.

It is kind of odd as the NEC does address the support of some electrical equipment and not others.
