LOL  Actually I didnt install them. I ran out of time. Going down to Georgia tomorrow to work on a 1.3 meg solar project for 3-4 weeks. This resi job is run by a couple of non trades people for their uncle or something. They think spray foam is around the corner.....
I'll be its still not in when I get back, and even if it is its 3 inch of closed cell in a 2X6 so I can squeeze the few things i didnt get to in
I guess I havnt provided for widow air conditioners much since I was kinda stumped on where to put the plug. I think I usually go for under the window, but sometimes there isnt much room and the height wont match the other receps.
Famous last words... I know better than to make that bet. Murphy follows me around with one hand on my shoulder. One hand, no problem, two hands, I'm worried... no hands, he's getting a running start.* If in doubt I'd have put them on both sides and been done with it.
You work on side projects locally involving small resi, and go out of state for large industrial projects? Did you learn to clone yourself? Time travel?
I noticed that! It's like they don't have cords at all.
They sure do look nicer that way, but I'm pretty sure that Tesla-style wireless power transfer isn't one of the Chapter 3 methods.
Most of our customers couldnt use window units if they wanted; HOA would have a fit and a violation notice delivered before sundown.
*Last time I dealt with spray foam was a customer who we did an entire house remodel for last year. Last year, the attic was empty, tongue and groove flooring, no spray foam. This year, they want "one more thing". Knowing the attic, I figured piece of cake.
In that year, they spray foamed the entire thing, jboxes, rafters, floors, and all about 12" thick, installed 1/4"ply over the existing flooring, put in 8 large metal racks, and stuffed 3 houses worth of junk in there. A drop hit my shoulder; it was Murphy, laughing so hard he was in tears.
