Let me add more detail. The number of viruses create today are aim to affect Windows OS. The creators of the virus use Linux or Mac OS.

If you have two computers one running Mac and the other Win. And go online for a normal business day surfing the web you will get over a hundred infections on the pc and zero on the Mac.

Now if we would continue this test for a year and get a average per unit we will come to a big difference in percentage.

So yes I was wrong in saying they dont get viruses.

i browse the internet everyday with windows and I don't get viruses or "infections".

Electrical Contractors, have an intrest in these topics, and this is the Estimating/ Management section.

Appreciated, and this is why the topic has been left open as long as it has.

Unfortunately, it is pretty far removed from the spirit of "making your computer work for you in your electrical contracting business" and has pretty much evolved into "This is the machine I use" which is useful if we'd like to be sure to steal your particular computer when we break into your office, or "Mac vs. PC", in which case obviously Mac is the clear winner.
