How would you figure a multi-conductor ?
I assume that you would use the OD of the cable .

This thread addressed that already. If you had a cable with 3 #4 and a #8 egc then you would calculate the size conduit needed and base it on that.

I got it .
It is common for us to pull cable in a cable tray and run branch conduits to equiptment . I am pretty sure we over stress cable often . We put what they tell us ., but sometimes a good educated debate can produce a better instalation .
