Wire insulation without the conductor

I've seen it, but can't find it. It was small gauge, like #18, clear wire insulation without any conductor. You slip it onto an analog drain wire when landing it on a ground so nothing else will touch it. Putting a ferrule on the end makes the whole thing look much better and easier to handle, too.

Anybody got a source for this? Amazon is preferred.
 
How about heat shrink? Actual shrinking not necessary. However, if you really want it to be insulated, you need to put a larger piece over the whole cable to cover the part where it transitions out of the jacket, and actually shrink that part.
 
Spaghetti wire sleeving - That's it! McMaster-Carr carries a great selection, too. It's white instead of clear, though.

I used to get 1/16 “‘clear tubing for the drain wire, but then used clear heat shrink.after I ringed the insulation jacket and removed, I used a 1” black heat shrink at the insulation end, the clear HS slid up to there, shrink all with heat gun

So you preferred the heat shrink to the spaghetti sleeve. How come?
 
Easier to source, looks better, and was shrunk along with the short length of black. Also I would precut the clear into 6” lengths , it was faster to install than the clear sleeve on a spool
