Funny thing about how I learned that one is my college instructor was very much of a PC type of person, but taught us the non PC version.Thanks, was going to recite the rhyme but I learned the non-pc version.
When I was in college in the '70s, we had one female in a class of about 50. The prof cited the non-pc version and she lost it. Went to the administration, wrote letters, etc. I guess if that happens today, he loses his job and the males in the class have to go to sensitivity training.

I'm certain some of you know this, but for those who didn't......
The resistor color code was derived from the refractive light index with red being the least refractive and violet the most. If you look at a rainbow you will see this demonstrated.

The totally non-PC version uses something different from "Bad" while those who want to include the tolerance code colors too note that "VGW" "for Silver and Gold."

Funny I'm not sure what the original poster is really asking. How I would do it if have 3 rolls each of brown orange and yellow, and set them up each on its own rod, top, middle, and bottom, to keep them separated for easy identification.

If he is asking if you should pull all conductors at one time, the answer is an unequivocal yes.

In the past I very well would have run three browns to motor 1, three orange to motor 2, and three yellow to motor 3.
Today I would (somewhat reluctantly) run a brown orange and yellow to each motor, and then most likely use three different colors of tape to identify each individual circuit.
