wire size

I need to know what size wire and what size ground I need to hook up a hot tub? It needs a 50 amp GFI breaker. Also what size rigid conduit do I need, it will be in the ground from the house?

Follow the manufacturer's directions and Articles 680 & 310.16 of the NEC.

look at 310.16 consider 240.4d then do a vd calc or call a licensed elec

Speaking of Hot Tubs... most home owners don't think about how expensive they are to maintain. Some will run up the Elec. bill about $125.00/ month plus the cost of the chemicals needed...I guess that's why they try to hook them up themselves... to save up money for their Elec. bill! I often hear..."Well I'm only gonna heat it when I'm gonna use it"! :roll:
