My roofers (AKA apprentices) love doing this. When I can get them to go to the rail first, is a miracle. My question is when they bring the bond wire to the rail straight out of the junction box, they will take the cables that come out and, instead of going to the rail, they will go to the bond wire and tywrap them to it up to the rail above the box. I can't find anything in the code book that says that they can't do this. Where would I find it?

Yes. That is the junction box on the roof.
Ahh OK might be a good idea for the mods to move this the the PV section.

I dont see a NEC issue with tywraps around the bundle, but others on here more knowlageble in PV might know something I dont.

Let me ask it this way, If there is a junction box in the ceiling (or wall) and the cables coming out of the box, instead of going straight to the stud, they go to the gec that is going by exposed and are ty-wrapped to that, until they get to the stud. Is that allowed?
