We've had one of those Isaacs and Associates wireless radio's set up on a feedlot well for over 20 years. I just replaced it about 5 years ago for the first time.
We replaced the original setup with a hardwired version the second time around, rather than the battery type. The only thing our customer has told us, is they go through the plug in relay base style surge suppressors a lot now that it's hardwired. But, the power quality is not very good.
