Is there any restriction on the wire colors used on CT's? From the factory, they are both a tan color. But the leads are too short and need to be extended. I used white and black on one and red white on another. Then I realized that perhaps white is not allowed. I would like to use color to designate polarity and phase, but could use tape or other colors.

Most of the CT's that we install use factory installed black and white conductors therefore I don't think that using white is an issue.

Most of my CTs have one secondary terminal grounded,so white would be acceptable.
