I saw a contractor working in a commercial kitchen remodeling,feeding a new hood from a different panel using the same conduit with existing circuits feed from another panel.
Are the code alow this installation?

Yes, Yoda. It's not prohibited, but the fill and derating rules still apply.

Stuffing new wires into existing conduits is something I've seen abused quite often.

As recently as yesterday, as a matter of fact.


(It ticked me off because I wanted to be able to do the same thing!)
