I just had a inspection on an above ground pool and the inspector said non GFCI protected wires cannot be in the same conduit with GFCI protected wires. First time I heard of this.

The inspector may be referring to 680.23(F)(3).
That whole section is goofy.

680.21 Motors.
680.23 Underwater Luminaires.

For pool motors, 680.14 + 680.21.

What does having GFI's in a panelboard with other ckt's not on GFI have to do with the conductors in the raceway, and that's one of the exceptions for allowing non-GFI'd conductors in the raceway with the GFI'd conductors.

2017 nec, 680.23(F)3
(3) Conductors. Conductors on the load side of a groundfault
circuit interrupter or of a transformer, used to comply
with the provisions of 680.23(A)(8), shall not occupy raceways,
boxes, or enclosures containing other conductors unless one of
the following conditions applies:
(1) The other conductors are protected by ground-fault
circuit interrupters.
(2) The other conductors are equipment grounding conductors
and bonding jumpers as required per 680.23(B)(2)
(b).
(3) The other conductors are supply conductors to a feedthrough-
type ground-fault circuit interrupter.
(4) Ground-fault circuit interrupters shall be permitted in a
panelboard that contains circuits protected by other than
ground-fault circuit interrupters.[\quote]

and in 2017 nec, where is 680.15 .16 .17. 18 and .19, or is the doc I am reading faulty?
