hey guys, I ran 2 sets of #12 wire in conduit.
One end I had the sets separated and taped - terminated to 2 gfci outlets.
The other end I forgot to tape and I don't know which 3 wires (black, white, green) go to which outlet.
What's the easiest way to identify which set of wires go to which outlet?
cheers

If you have access to a meter you could ring them out and check continuity between the wires. Bug one end of the wires by two together on the end you know which ones they are. And go back to the separated ends and ring them out with the meter until you have the whole circuit identified.

Just hook them up and then turn it on. Plug a load in one of the downstream receptacles if wired incorrectly it will trip the GFCI.

so if it trips, do I swap the hot or neutral wires?
and does it matter if the grounds are swapped?
