Wiring alongside Gas Piepeline

We have a situation where inside a building, we have an enclosed space in one corner of the building. Inside this enclosed space there is a gas pipeline. We were thinking whether we can run a wire in a conduit (for a utility socket) inside the same enclosed space alongside the gas pipeline or not?
