Hello... Simple question here im sure. I came across a propane water heater 120v, draws less then three amps. I installed the 120v power with a 12-2 wire. I know this size wire is not really needed but it was all I had. Is this in any way harmful for the water heater or wiring? Thanks for the help.

The size of the wire should not affect the heater when the wire is larger than necessary. #12 may not be needed but it won't hurt.
