I do know that its not good practice to share holes with other trades. But i do not know a code ref prohibiting (except other insulation ratings). I see many locations with a hole from the garage to the basement the plumbing is generally PVC drainpipe, the holes are usually a bit oversized due to block blow out. NM cable is generally just stuffed alongside can I get help with a code ref prohibiting this?

It is code complaint to share the same hole unless there is some evidence that the NM cable would be subject to physical damage.

I believe there's a code rule that requires a conduit sleeve if a cable is passing through a floor with an insulated bushing on each end to protect it from abrasions.

334.15 b.

You couldn't install insulated bushing on either end of the chase in your scenario if it was stuffed along side a pvc drain.

Sometimes its just something i dont like and its code compliant. Must be from my CATV days where that was key due to interference in the 80s.

Thank you it just seems wrong. My opinion though not code. In the cases I see its garage and basement same level

Requires a sleeve where NM passes through a floor in exposed work. That is to keep it from being damaged by things moving about the floor. Nothing is said about bushings.

Not likely a PVC drain line is going to move and cause damage to an NM cable run next to it in the same hole. Quite a different scenario.

That was an old wives tale even then.

I believe the 2023 version of the rule does.

It is new in 334.15(B) for the 2023 code but was in 314.15(C) in older codes. However it has been required by 300.15(C) since before the 99 code.
300.15(C) Protection.
A box or conduit body shall not be required where cables enter or exit from conduit or tubing that is used to provide cable support or protection against physical damage. A fitting shall be provided on the end(s) of the conduit or tubing to protect the cable from abrasion.
