I am looking into radiant heaters for horse stalls www.kalglo.com. I am wondering about the wiring method . In the past i have used pvc with wp covers for lighting , switching and outlets.(dust proofing mostly) Their webb site shows type NM.
How about arc falt or gfci. Protection . any thoughts? Thanks

UF or PVC conduit would probably be your best choices. As Dennis pointed out you definately want to look at Art 547 before making any hard money bids. Are Kalglo products UL listed for horse barns (poultry is different)?

Check out "Horse Barn Wiring" as we just talked about them. Good Luck.

I would be careful in the installation of these type heaters. If you are installing them in the stalls you will need at least 10' from floor to heater. Horses love to mess with things. They will need to be hung so the horse cannot reach them. I have installed heaters that are recessed in the ceiling and have had good results. I cannot remember the mfg. but they were about 12"x12" and had a small fan in them that blew the air down around a heat lamp.

Their webb site shows type NM.
That would work but you must consider the application you are wanting to use them in. You application will, as stated, be dictated by Art.547
