Is this how an electrician would wire this circuit where it's desired to control an additional lighting ckt. from existing ltg. switch via contactor?

Might be easier to tie into the existing light instead of the switch. (ADD: or intercept the cable/conduit an any convenient point between the switch and the light) Electrically you are still tying onto the same two conductors.

Either as drawn or from the lighting outlet as kwired suggested. I would do whichever is more convenient as long as it doesn't exceed the box fill.

is there any more to it than attach to electrical box and mount box above drop ceiling?

Box sized for contactor and conductor bending, cable entries, no NM, etc.
