Article 680.23(F)(1) of the 2005 NEC allows MC cable, where installed within buildings, to supply pool lights. Does 680.23(F)(2A) allow the EGC to be spliced in a junction box at the point where the MC changes to conduit as it leaves the building? If so, what means can be used to make this splice?

Re: Wiring to pool light

In my area which is southern New Jersey the inspectors allow a splice but it must be made in a permanant fashion such as a crimped connector. I would chech with the AHJ.
