Are those cowboy boots pictured what you wear to work?

Not exactly, but close. The ones I wear were discontinued...

Those look like cow girl boots to me!

...could be why they were discontinued...

I don't work cows, but this is Texas, y'all, not Boston!

I really like my Redwing 606's. The sole on them is fairly soft for concrete comfort which is nice but you don't want to be standing on an extension ladder all day though. I've gotten about a 1.5-2 years out of the 2 pairs I've owned now. And I recently bought the 1412's too, basically the 8" insulated gore-tex version, but have yet to wear them.

I wear a Running shoe. Brooks GTS or the Beast. Easy on the back and knees. Wont get caught up in attics, easy up and down on ladders and wont track dirt in on the white carpet. Not real good when punctured from underneath, but I watch were I walk. Sometimes the dogs are loose.:grin:

I bought this boot at k-mart seems to work for me and I am up and down ladders and on rooftops and in attics all the time
