Someone should start a poll on what is believed to be the perfect work truck.

Ebay?!! Sounds like a good purchase. I'm curiuos, what kind of mileage does the V8 get? I am driving a Ford with a V6 which gets around 13 mpg (max) but I am always on the gas trying to get to cruising speed.

That kind of Ebay purchase a bit risky IMO, but it turned out ok......as for the MPG I havent checked it. We did have a personal truck awhile back 05 crew cab 1/2 ton with that small v8 and it got consistant 18-20 on the hiway. But with mine being 3/4 and in town with traffic I would guess 11-13, "BUT that's an estimate", and you guys know that phrase :smile:

What about those vans with the side panels that open up? I've seen them at a trade show a while back. Looks just like a GM van but the recessed panels on the sides are made into doors that open up revealing shelving units that you can access from outside the truck. I think if I were looking for a van I would look into one of those setups.

I have seen only one on the road. I hear there is quite a cost premium for the "shelf door" option on a GM van.
