Although this is very valid, you are defining your response with these words. Try to keep any emotion out of this.

My wife says that your explanation is too wordy and confusing. When I have to respond to customers (like this,) I often have my wife read what I have written to make sure things are concise, readable, and unoffensive.

I sent it out - but the whole first paragraph you mention - was removed, the next 2 corrected...

And I'd like to thank everyone for thier timely and appropriate advise - to include my wife as well.... :D

Can you share your labor rate for the job?

I put my bid in the other day - I got that as a reply this afternoon...

This is a reply I'm thinking about:


What would you say????

My response would be "NO". I probably would then ask "WHY?" or I might ask "why" first and then say "no"


I recently had a GC ask for a price for a job - I then got the job and right before I started he said - "of yea, you are doing this T& M right? I said sure, and we kicked into slow gear to do the job.
