Wow people amaze me

Im watching DIY channel and these people just ran 14/2 NM for speaker wire and said that its high quality because its solid and not stranded......wow.......
 
I read somewhere that stranded is always used for audio because more noise is developed in the solid (at audio frequencies). don't know if its true or not but I've always used stranded for audio.??
 
I don't see any problem with running NM for speakers. its overkill in most cases and probably works no better than zip cord. About like the gold plated outlets some stereo places sell.

I've never run solid speaker wire before, but I can say that broken strands caused a lot of noise when I used to run a P.A. system. I had to threaten the life of any stagehand who I caught tying audio cables up like bundles of rope.

Don't waste your time on oxygen free cable, if you really want something that will enhance your listening pleasure use one of these.

What a joke. Gold ground tabs.......too bad its being terminated to a copper wire, as if it matters.

wow a slogan from HE Haw junior samples I believe correct me if i am wrong..I don't remember juniors last name but always had some cool cars:grin: :D ..marketing is the key..
