The hot-dipped is more resistant to corrosive conditions than is the pre-galvanized.

The hot dipped would be my vote. The most important thing to do is...when field cutting takes place is to field dress the exposed ends and places on the strut where the finish has been compromise. Most strut mfg. will have a suggested product to use.

In structural we refer to electrogalvanized (EG) and hot-dipped galvanized. The hot dipped is always a much thicker coating. Keep in mind it rains salt water here so both of them fail and even stainless fails too eventually.
EG will fail first.
Hot dipped lasts longer than EG.
Stainless lasts longest of the three.
