Writing the code to suit your bottom line

Seems interesting.

I don't like the idea of making things code to sell either.

It could be even worse than the lobbyists in D.C., I wonder how many of these type guys are actually on the CMP.

Did you notice that was 932 pages for CMP #2? Wow!!!

Oh god, please, not CMP 2. If it's stupid, or maybe even just plain incomprehensible, they'll definately do it. I think all those people are caught up in some kind a Animal House, Caddy Shack time warp or something. These guys are a good justification for term limits.

Maybe I missed this in my quick scan, where did it say to make these devices code?

Where did you find the ROP stuff for 2011?

By creating several different versions of the same ROP for 210.13 (NEW)

I posted a thread with a link in the 'next code' forum.

Yes 175 are for this device alone, and a number of others for other crap.

Now what to do with that new digital TV..... You mean I have to trash it because the outlet won't turn on?!?!?!?

Maybe they'll make an 'adaptor'? For all those 'legacy' items - like my VGA monitor.

I didn't read that proposal, but if it is the product I am thinking of, they have flat stick on RFIDs that you put on the end of an item that does not have them built into the male plug. They come in different wattages, and you are to match the wattage of the RFID to the equipment.
