Wye generator delta meter panel

I have a 120/ 240 V. 3 phase 4 wire Delta service on a Sewer lift station . The customer ordered a 60 KW Generator factory connected Wye 120/208 V . The transfer switch is 3 pole with a solid neutral . I understand most 240 V equipment will run on 208 V , but is 120/208 V compatible with the incoming service with the un switched neutral ? Appreciate all replies , thank you .

There are 12 lead generators that can be reconfigured from 208Y/120 to 240/120 four wire delta...check and see if the generator is of that type.

I would not do this, even if it is a relatively small dedicated load that is not probably going to have future expansion.
Connecting a delta distribution system with a Wye source can be problematic without even getting into the voltage difference. For instance your grounded/ neutral conductor would now likely need to be counted as a current carrying conductor.

I do know some municipalities get away with it, especially with portable back up generators, bt why not just get the correct generator?

Do you already have the generator? If so post the make/model of the alternator. Is the generator hardwired to the output voltage or does it have a selector switch like the rental units have? (FYI I have a couple new (2-3hrs, couple years old, never installed regularly exercised) skid mount 65kva T4F generators if you need another :) )
