I am looking into some xfmr. Inrush values to insure that our utility primary fuse can handle the added xfmr.?s and their associated inrush currents without causing the fuse to open. I am trying to better understand the xfmr. Inrush under load and was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. It appears that the inrush characteristics are different depending on how the system is energized, and believe that the ?typical? values are for an ideal condition (no connect secondary loads) however in the event of a power outage that may only last seconds or minutes I believe the inrush would be greater as there is load connected and within the xfrm. Some residual flux remains, wanted to get everyones imput and curious how this is handled. Thanks.
